Money, Money, Money...
An important part of deciding to schedule an Intensive Session is knowing how much it will cost. Intensive Sessions are a cost-effective trauma and anxiety treatment because they waste less time starting and stopping.
Here are several important things to know:
- Fees for each type of service are listed below: Intensives / Adjunct Services / Trauma Releasing Exercises
- If you have insurance, it may or may not cover part of Intensive treatment. For more information on Insurance
- A 50% deposit is due at the time we schedule, except for Adjunct Services. The remainder is due the day of the session.
- All major credit cards accepted. Most debit cards accepted, unless you financial institution prohibits it. Most HSA and FSA cards are also accepted, depending on the limits of your program.
- You will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate of all costs prior to your session.
Fees - Intensive Sessions
Intensive Session length is determined in the intake session and will vary depending on the type of issue or theme you want to work through. A 50% deposit is required to book an Intensive Session, with the remainder due at the time of the session. Costs are:
- Intake Session (50 minutes) = $150
- Mini-Intensive (105 minutes) = $300
- Half Day Intensive (3.5 hours) = $500
- Full Day Intensive (7 hours) = $1,000
- Two Day Intensive (14 hours) = $2,00
- Three Day Intensive (21 hours) = $3,000
Fees - Adjunct Services
Adjunct EMDR or other Trauma Resolution therapies are offered as two or three hour sessions, scheduled as needed. Payment is expected at the time of service.
- Two hour adjunct session = $300
- Three hour adjunct session = $450
Fees - Trauma Releasing Exercises™ (TRE)
Trauma Releasing Exercises™ (TRE) sessions are offered as two or three hour sessions, scheduled as needed. Three hour session can be shared with up to three other people, so couples or families can learn together.
- Two hour TRE session (1 person) = $275
- Three hour TRE session (up to 4 people) = $400
Fees - Insurance
Part of your Intensive treatment may be covered by your insurance if you have out-of-network benefits (non-HMO insurance):
- The Intake Session is usually covered by insurance as CPT code 90791, Assessment Session.
- Some insurance plans will pay for CPT code 90837, 60 minute or longer psychotherapy. That may cover the first hour of an Intensive Session.
- A few insurance plans will pay for extended services with pre-authorization. To find out what your insurance will cover for your Intensive, ask for my free Intensives Insurance Guide. It gives step-by-step instructions for talking to your insurance company, along with the right questions to ask.
I don't receive direct payments from insurance companies...payment is expected by credit card, and any amount your insurance company reimburses you will be sent directly to you. I can provide a superbill if that is helpful.
If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), or other tax-deferred health services account, you can use it to pay for your Intensive. If you are planning for the coming year and deciding how much to have withheld, planning for an Intensive may be part of your health spending budget!
